Indigenous Recruiting

The RCMP is committed to building a more inclusive and representative police service that reflects the strengths and diversity of First Nations, Inuit, and Métis communities across Canada.

We are actively seeking Indigenous candidates who want to help keep communities safe. Honouring Indigenous cultures and ways of being are at the heart of the RCMP's mandate.

We've created two programs to support Indigenous recruitment and retention. These efforts reinforce our mandate toward building a renewed relationship and trust with the approximately 600 Indigenous communities we serve.
